Just purchased my V3 27, and this bow performs awesome! The short axle to axle and long riser design is flawless! If you have not experienced shooting a Mathews bow, all I can say is you DO NOT know what you’re missing!!!

Went to the local archery shop, asked them to set up Bowtech, Matthews and Hoyt for me, then we went in the back and they started handing me bows to shoot with, I purposely did not look at the bow other than to shoot it. I went in thinking I was going to buy a carbon version from a different company and I did not want any preconceived notions come into my head. After shooting all 3 multiple times, there was no question the V3 was the most compact and quietest, smoothest shooting of the 2021 new bows on the market. I went with the V3 27″ and am extremely happy After 3 days shooting targets both paper and 3D I can honestly say this is a fantastic shooting, fun and reliable machine. Can’t wait for fall.

I’ve been a Mathews owner for 21 years now due to their quality and impeccable “shootablity”, and I don’t know how but, Mathews just keeps getting better. I’ve been filling my freezer with my trusty Mathews Z7 Extreme for 10 years and was convinced Mathews couldn’t possibly top what I consider one of the greatest bows of all time… Boy, was I wrong! After just 10 minutes test driving the new Mathews V3 27 I was sold. Easily the smoothest draw I’ve ever felt and the transition into the let-off is virtually unnoticeable. Pure magic and witchcraft! Thank you Mathews for what I know will be another amazing bow. The elk in Idaho won’t be as thankful…

5 out of 5 What a way to get back into Archery

I took a long 26 year sabbatical from Archery, my last bow was a Golden Eagle, Hawk. Only to return when my boy began to show interest. Later in life and I chose to splurge a little with the V3 27 and what a great decision. With only a few times shooting I’m back to where I left off from an accuracy and precision perspective. So quiet and honestly I’m not sure you need more than 1 pin between 20 and 40 yards, a little elevation and your good. Great bow and really enjoying shooting with my boy.

Feels like a 30 ata with the longer riser. Don’t let the 27 fool you. Dead in hand, super smooth and balanced.. Feels like it shoots itself. Awesome rig!

I have been shooting this bow for about 2 months now and I have nothing bad to say about it. It is smooth shooting. I was putting some great groupings with it. I love hunting with it and it did some damage to a buck that I shot and I would highly recommend this bow

I’ve shot PSE since I was alittle kid. Just graduated college and got my first full time job. Decided to splurge on the V3. I LOVE IT. I’m not an archery buff by any means, but man is this bow smooth. Everything about it is amazing. I can see myself shooting Mathews for a while.

I have had the Mathews monster chill every since it had came out. This year I had went to my local bow shop (Mathews dealer) and I seen the V3 27 & 31. After i shot both of them I instantly fell in love with the Mathews V3 27. It is the smoothest and quietest bow I have ever shot in my life. I had to have it. So I bought the V3 27 under armor all season forest camo. I just had to let y’all know that it’s definitely gonna be hard to top the v3! Thanks guys for all the hard work and dedication y’all put into these bows!! I cannot wait until November to see what y’all come out with next year!

5 out of 5 Simply the Best

I’m not one to purchase a new bow every year, I like to keep mine for several seasons (6-8) before I’ll invest in a new one. With that being said, I’ve been in the market for a new bow for the past 2 years. When I narrowed my selection down to two manufacturers, I agonized for 6 months over which would be the better option for me. I spent hours on forums, read articles, watched countless hours of reviews, almost to the point where I was sick of the whole process. I don’t like bad investments.

What it really came down to was shooting the bows for myself. My local dealer handed me both and I spent nearly 2 hours on the indoor range shooting them. Let me clarify, I spent 10 minutes shooting the competitor and over an hour shooting the V3. I just could not wrap my head around how well it shot, how quiet it was, how long it took me to actually get fatigued from shooting.

The engineering and design team at Mathews deserves a medal. I can only imagine what kind of passion and stress goes into making something so perfect. I almost feel dumb having wasted so much time agonizing over which company to go with.

I won’t tell you which bow to buy, but I will give one suggestion: If you’re in a similar situation, and your not sure which bow to go with, seriously consider just heading to your local shop and give this bow a test drive. I don’t consider myself brand loyal, generally speaking, but this experience has left a lasting impression on me and I just can’t imagine any competitor outdoing Mathews for a long time to come.

when I walked in to my local bow shop [ blackwater tackle Vinland N.J.] and told Jeff I was looking at getting a new bow and wanted to look at v3 he smiled and started nodding his head, tried both 27 and 31 inch. 4 shots from each bought the 27 in. amazing bows of the 20 or so bows I’ve owned this is the 2nd best [the apple limb Papal made for me 60 some years ago will always be #1] sorry Mathews that one can’t be beat, but this one comes in a very close 2nd . Can’t wait for bow season to start . If anyone’s thinking about buying this bow I’m smiling and nodding my head.

    Josh

Every year I think there’s no way they will top this bow.. but every year they always do! The V3 takes everything that’s good about the VXR and improves on it. Silky smooth draw and absolutely zero shot vibration. The V3 is so quite that unless you are within a few feet of it you can’t hear when its shot. The V3 is in my opinion the best bow on the market! Looking forward to carrying it into the woods this fall.

3-4 weeks in with this bow and I’m very impressed The 75# draw is much more aggressive than the 70# test bow I shot Used this bow (02/01/21) on our 3-D course and I was very impressed even with a demo sight for the time being You don’t need 75# for 3-D , buried most of my arrows and removed them grinning ear to ear Hoping (and pretty sure it will be) this will be really good at distances 80 yds +
Very quiet , light weight dead in hand no shock (didn’t even use a front stabilizer at first Didn’t need to ! Mathews should be VREY happy with this bow and should do well for them

Love the V3 27. Now the Triax is my back up bow. The V3 is a lot lighter in hand deader on the shot, and is more accurate on the shot. Sure doesn’t feel a inch shorter. the string angle actually feels better to me. I don’t regret buying this bow at all . I wish I could of bought it sooner. Now that deer seasons over and I didn’t buy it until Feb 3. Turkey will be here soon. I can’t wait too bag a bird with this bad- – – bow. The V3 31 is very nice, but the V3 27 is much better all the way around bow.

So I’m a long time competitive shooter from local to some ibo so I usually got for the longer axle to axle bows. The 27 blew me away today and it fits my style of hunting and I’m excited for spring turkey and all the summer evening shoots in the yard with my boys. Mathews has done it year after year and seem to be taking leaps and bounds ahead of the rest. Small changes that make the biggest differences thanks to everyone at Mathews.

I went in to shoot the Bowtech Revolt x and Mathews V3 31. Then I shot the V3 27. I was absolutely amazed. I’m 6ft talk and the bow fit me perfectly. The V3 27 felt like it was made for me. I bought it that day. Second day shooting and I made my 1st ever Robin Hood shot at 30 yards. I was a Loyal Hoyt guy.

JUST PURCHASED THIS AND REPLACED MY MATHEWS HTR NO CAM, WHICH IS STILL AN AWESOME BOW. IT WAS THE OVERALL SIZE THAT ATTRACTED ME PURCHASE THE V3. THIS BOW IS FAST, DEAD IN THE HEAD, AND VERY LIGHT. I PURCHASED THIS TO TAKE UP IN MY TREE STAND OR SITTING IN THE BLIND FOR WHITE TAIL. COLOR OPTIONS ARE AMAZING. I WENT WITH AMBUSH GREEN WHICH IN MY OPINION HAS BEEN THE BEST COLOR MATHEWS HAS COME OUT WITH. KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK MATHEWS INC!

Unbelievable! The engineering that goes into these bows is nothing short of remarkable. Mathews bows are far ahead of the game when it comes to putting out the best bows on the market, and when I say they delivered with the new V3 27 man did they deliver! With every year they engineer a better bow…every year there are noticeable differences than the year before! The crosscentric cam bows are awesome, Mathews greatest bows yet, and with innovation such as the switchweight technology and the engage grip and now centerguard with the V3 a slimmed down bow with a wicked ata. One thing about it you ask Mathews for more, more is what they deliver!!!! Great job keep up the great work!!!!
