(7 reviews)

The extended, six-bridge riser on the 2020 VXR was designed to cut weight, while adding strength and stability. It holds like a target bow, while maintaining the maneuverability of a compact hunting rig. This new platform increased cam efficiencies and enhanced the effects of 3D damping to create the most stable, stealthy platform we’ve ever built.

Absolutely amazing. I’ve owned the Legacy, the Switchback and then the Z7 Extreme. I bought all these bows new when they came out. The were all great bows and performed very well. Two years ago I went to a different brand. I tried the new 31.5 VXR the day they were released. I bought it the next day. It is the smoothest and quietest bow I have ever seen. The stability of the long riser has really increased my accuracy. I really believe Mathews builds the best bows on the market.

The 2020 Mathews VXR is a very nice bow. Coming from a Mathews Helium the VXR is different experience. The VXR is Quiet and balanced. At full draw the bow is very stable and seems to linger on target. After the shot feel is virtually uneventful. The draw is smooth and poundage builds early in the draw where it drops off into the valley where a firm back wall awaits. The fit and finish is superb as one would expect from Mathews. The utility of the switch weight modules is a welcome addition the compound bow world. I give this bow a full endorsement. If you think you would like the VXR, go pull the sting on one and become convinced.

I have never owned a mathews bow in my life. I could never get used to how top heavy they felt to me. I wont mention the the other brand I used for a decade because as they still make a good product it just didn’t stand it’s ground next to the new vxr 31.5. All I can say is perfection is difficult to obtain, but Mathews archery has gained my business with a perfect bow for me. Couldn’t be more happy about making the switch. Thank you for your pursuit to be the best, paying off.

31.5 VXR is the most stable bow that I have ever shot from Mathews’ hunting lineup. You could shoot it with no stabilizer system at all if you chose to. No kick when you release. No hand shock what so ever. Very dead in the hand. Compared to two other major companies, it is a world of difference. Others were loud and had horrible hand shock. I can’t wait for my bow to arrive. 6-8 weeks is agonizing but well worth it. I am at about 4 weeks now. Almost as exciting as waiting for my kids to be born

Very very durable bow. EXTREMELY accurate and almost eery quiet. Definitely worth the money! The only thing I “don’t like” 😉 about Mathews is that they convice me every year to spend more money on their new bows 🙂 with their consistent improvisations. Amazing work Mathews!
