Shot the Z7… and I love it.  I didn't think Mathews could make a smoother bow, but guess what I was wrong. They've done it again and all I can say is it is amazing!!!!

Everyone loves the Z7.

I always furnish the best Carbon Express arrows for my customers to shoot when testing the new Mathews bows. This year I had to go to a cheaper arrow because my customers were shooting Robin Hoods with the Z7 bow. It didn't seem to bother the customer, they gladly paid for the arrows and took their trophy home with them. This just made them want the Z7 even more. Everyone loves the Z7.

I can honestly say its the best bow out on the market

I can honestly say its the best bow out on the market. I haven’t bought a Mathews bow since ‘02 which was the LX.  I shot the Z7 and lets just say I had no further questions. I already made my mind up and will be shooting the Z7!

I guess that Reverse Assist works!

Went to my local shop to see and shoot the bow on Nov 2nd.. I was so impressed over all with the bow, I ordered one on Nov. 2nd. On a side note. My son is 13 and shoots a 27" draw length and typically shoots a 60 lb bow set @ 58lbs. For a small laugh we decided to put a 27" cam on the Z7 and have him draw the bow. He grabbed the bow with a safety release and was at full draw before I knew it! THIS Z7 bow was set @ 71lbs!!! Shocked me, the store owner- Jerod, and my son when we told him what it was set at… We then took a competitor's bow set @ 27/70 and he could not break it over......

So in a nutshell, I guess that the Reverse Assist works! :-)

I love the smooth draw

We have had nothing but great comments on the new Z7.  I love the smooth draw, as well as the  "hunter Friendly" valley on the cam.  I have a 29"+ draw length and I normally like bows a little longer.  However, with the longer riser and great stability, this bow aims and shoots like a bow much longer. The new grid lock riser is appealing and needless to say it was designed for additional strength and stability. Obliviously, people naturally compare this bow to the Reezen and  I feel this bow is a great improvement over the fantastic Reezen.  Also, the new trimmer wood grip is just awesome.  Exactly what was needed.

Looking forward to 2010 with the new Z7!

The new Z7 from Mathews is truly the best overall shooting bow I’ve ever put in my hands. There is no other bow on the market that can even be put in the same category as far as smooth drawing and quiet shooting, as the new Z7. I really believe the new Z7 will help me set record numbers for my store for the upcoming season. The new design is different but unique, and the Reverse Assist Roller Guard cuts out any noise that the old models may have had in the Roller Guard. Looking forward to 2010 with the new Z7!

My customers all love this bow

My customers all love this bow.  The general consensus is- The smoothest drawing, lowest recoil, and best looking bow Mathews has ever built!  Every person that has it within their budget, that has shot this bow has ordered one to date. The ones that haven't would like to, but just can't swing it at this time.   Everyone likes the riser, the roller guard makes sense, and all have noticed the smaller grip and love it. The speed is perfect for any purpose, most customers really don't care about a lot of speed if the bow feels good to shoot, and this one is plenty fast! Yet is a pleasure to shoot. As a dealer, my first impression is that this is a winner; I think it is going to outsell all other bows to date, including any that Mathews has produced so far. I am Very Very Pleased with this product.

The new Mathews Z7 bow is right up my alley

The new Mathews Z7 bow is right up my alley.  I believe the performance and feel will be unmatched this year at that axle length.  The roller guard is great; being able to achieve the speed without putting an extra load on the cable is a feat in itself.  Doing all this and putting less friction on the cable. The gridlock riser might take people a little getting use to, but it grows on you quickly.  The bow is to my liking enough that I took it to Indiana with me this past weekend and arrowed my first Indiana buck!

The Z7 is truly the pinnacle in solocam design. The gridlock design simply makes the riser of the Z7 so stiff there is no possible way it can flex during the draw cycle or during the shot process ultimately aiding in the elimination of felt handshock. The Z7 cam is the best solocam design to date offering the archer a truly smooth draw cycle from start to finish. The wall on the cam is solid offering maximum consistency while at full draw and holds just the same. The Reverse Assist Roller is a long time coming and this is the perfect bow for its introduction. The new roller guard absolutely eliminates natural torque created when the bow is drawn and allows the bow to maintain a truer sense of center as the arrow travels forward with the string to the target.

This bow shoots better than any short Mathews I have ever shot

I have been shooting bows for over 30 years and have worked in or owned a pro shop for 25 years.  I am 6' 3" tall and hit the scales around a solid 330.  Small axle to axle bows and I have never gotten along. I like to call it the snow cone effect. It took the Legacy to change my mind about any bow shorter than 38" for accuracy and forgiveness and I am a big fan of the Drenalin, but I will have to say the Z7 has passed the initial test with flying colors this bow shoots better than any short Mathews I have ever shot including  the MQ32, SQ2, Outback, Switchback XT, and yes the DXT. My overall score for this bow is going to be a 9 to 9.5 out of a possible 10.

This new model brings to reality the pure pleasure of archery

The new Mathews Z7 is by far the best performance compound bow I have ever had my hands on and 2010 will be my 33rd year in the archery business!  It is really a great feeling to have this much excitement in selling a product that you have confidence in selling to the customer.  I wish all bow hunters experience the Z7.  This new model brings to reality the pure pleasure of archery.

WOW!

I just shot the new Z7 last night. WOW! That is the smoothest draw I have ever shot. 67 pounds and it felt lighter than my 60 pound Prestige. Not only that, but the 2 arrows that I shot through it were touching. Not bad for a bow just out of the box and not set up for me. I am truly impressed.

Wow, they done it again.

I have had numerous people shoot the Z7 and everyone states that it is the quietest Mathews yet.  The grid lock riser is an attention getter in the shop, and when people shoot this bow they are really impressed at how quiet it is.  

I had one customer ask me before he had a chance to see and shoot the Z7, "How in the world can Mathews improve over the Reezen?"  He shot the Z7, looked at me, shook his head and said " Wow, they done it again. They made a better bow!"

Well, the Z7 is a marvel.  The way it just sits in your hand after the shot, makes you ask your self, “Oh did I shoot yet”. You do not feel or hear the shot. I like the gridlock and the red offsetting colors.
